Hi, I’m Emma.
I’m a professional life coach trained by some of the very best – including Bev Aron, Katie Pulsifer and Dr. Katrina Ubell, MD. I qualified in 2018 and have been working as a full-time coach ever since.
I’m what’s called an “Advanced Deep Dive Coach”. That means I aim to coach in a way that explores many levels below the problem you bring to create more profound and lasting relief or change. Deep dive coaching draws on a range of modalities including Somatic Processing, relational neuroscience, nonviolent communication, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, and others.
I’ve coached hundreds of clients, the majority of them doctors and professionals. Alongside private coaching, I write and teach. I’ve ghost-written 25+ coaching workbooks, scripted coaching events, and answered several thousand coaching questions. This is deep, reflective work that informs my coaching.
I have a Diploma in Counseling and you can always talk to me about difficult topics.
Before coaching, I worked for 20 years in research/consulting as a Director for firms like Ipsos, Kantar, and The Wall Street Journal. I also owned my own research business. I’ve lived and worked in London, the US, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia. This was sometimes amazing and sometimes stressful, lonely, and exhausting. We all need support sometimes!
I’m one of five siblings, married to a journalist, and parent to two teen/tween boys. We also have a puli. I love books, walks by the ocean, messing around with kids, adventures, gardens, Thai food, and most recently, the TV series Pachinko.
I’m looking forward to meeting you!
My Values
My values tell you something about who I am and what I aspire to. They’ll give you an inkling of whether we’ll be a good fit:
Dignity: Everyone is good inside and deserves to be treated with respect and kindness.
Truth: Listen deeply, and be discerning and nuanced. Clarity helps us make good decisions.
Bird’s Eye View: Zoom out to see the bigger picture, imagine possibilities, and focus on what matters most.
Progress: In tiny moments, we each have the power to influence the future for ourselves and others.
Joy: Cultivating joy helps us show up for everything else.
